St. Michael’s school, established in 1858 by the Irish Christian Brothers but as of now run by the Jesuit Fathers of Patna for almost a century, is situated at the bank of the river Ganga in Patna, Bihar. In the state, though a chain of schools, the Patna Jesuits are engaged in imparting quality education to over 20000 students though 15 formal schools (11 of them in the rural areas). In St. Michael’s alone we are serving over 3000 children. We, Patna Jesuits aim at the integral growth of our students, forming them to be women and men for others, persons of conscience, competence and compassionate commitment, thus contributing to the building of a just and humane society.
As the new academic year began, the staff team have had a very informative and inspiring seminar organised where Mr Amitabh Mohan, a well-known psychologist was the resource person. Prior to the same, the staff team had an exposure to Mokama. The Jesuits known for their contributions in education believe in capacitating their teachers with the best possible exposures and training in order to ensure quality and effective learning for their students. .
