Manthan celebrated children’sday having the theme
“Bal Adhikar Pana hei, Shiksha koapnanahei” on November 9th, 2020 and created a joyful experience to children. From the time of
lockdown due to Covid 19 children are the most effected category in reality. They arelocked down from their studies, play, free movements, in other words deprivation of their basic/ fundamental rights. Children bring variety, joy and happiness in the family. Depriving their freedom is to deprive their growth. Inspite of the protocols and the mindset of the people’s Manthan who is having a close relationship with children had a discussion with children about their day celebration. Readily prepared themselves and celebrated it by coming together. Almost 374 children gathered together bringing colorful programs. Rev. Fr. Jose Kariyakat Director of BDVS was the Chief Guest a prominent person who works for the development of the children from his younger days onwards. Mr. Jitender Kumar from Child Line, Partner NGO from Patna was the guest honour and created awareness on child rights and how children can get their rights. Some of the children are the members of Child Right groups and hence clear about their rights. By seeing them other children were interested to learn and be the part of the Child Right Groups. Each center had exhibited their talents with songs, dances, and small Plays on child marriage, education of the children and the problems they face, social evils that are in practice in the villages during illness and difficult times.
Gopi Kumar and Sanju Kumari class 8th Musahar students attracted the gathered children with their stage management. Sr. Gracy BS the Acting Director welcomed and introduced the guests while high lighting the importance of the day. Mr. Vikas the Program Coordinator proposed vote of thanks to Fr. Jose the chief Guest, Guests of honor Jitender, Ajit Julias State Coordinator of Lok Manch, Mr. Santhosh Kumar Child Right Activist BDVS , Staff and teachers of Manthan and the parents of children. A special thanks to Fr. Cebin Mathew who was over allin-charge of the program arrangements and the children who brought life and smiles on the face of every one by colourful performance. Children had their lunch and dispersed with an attitude of gratitude and affirming that they are the greatest gifts in the family, to the society with responsibility.
