have not eaten anything for the last three days”. This was a painful statementof an old woman from Murgiyachak Musahari. Manthan team lead by Director Fr. Juno, Fr. Jose Kariyakat, Sr. Gracy and Sr. Pushpika together with the staff distributed “Khichadi, Rice, Dal and smashed potatoes to more than 5000 people in
13 Musahar hamlets with the help of local police stations (Roopaspur, Khagaul, Shapur and Naubatpur). The catering department of Indian railways (IRCTC), especially Mr. Amit Ji helped us to reach out to these needy people by providing cooked food. Manthan also distributed rations to 300 widows, elderly and sick people in 14 villages of Danapur and Bihita Blocks. The staff made a list of the deserving people before the distribution.
Fr. Juno said, “Today Corona Virus (Covid -19) has badly affected the people of all walks, so we need not say how the poor and the marginalized are suffering from this pandemic. Today they are really facing the crisis of starvation, health care and these things put their life in risky situation.
