About School

St. Thomas School was established by Fr. Joy on 22nd Feb, 1995 at that time the name of the school was Khrist Raja Vidhyalay addressing the issue of education among the bonded labours as education is the key to eradicate such draconian laws. Initially children were coming for villages till class 2nd and the school was teaching 200 students. Slowly the awareness regarding the education among such communities increased as a result we observed the huge increase in the number of students in our school. Though it took time to get affiliated by the government still we were teaching children up to 10th classes and they were giving their examination through National Institute for Open Schooling. Currently there are 1032 students out of which 434 are girls and 598 are boys from 50 villages of Bagha Block, West Champaran, Bihar.
